Record Store Day Panicky/cozy Record Nerd Day has come
Saturday is International Record Store Day.
Since 2007, it has been a recurring day of celebration for music lovers around the world, where exclusive special editions can be bought in celebration of the vinyl revival and the beauty of independent record stores. A real place with real people, where you can leaf, listen, be inspired and maybe grab a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.
The day means to bring fans, artists and independent record stores together and all participating stores throw their own party with in-store concerts and throngs of vinyl enthusiasts who’ll gladly line up for hours just to get their hands on this year’s collector’s items: albums that have not previously been released on vinyl, long-awaited re-issues , or special Record Day releases.
Recordpusher in Overgade will be serving coffee and Danishes to those expectantly queuing, while local band Halcyon Hope will provide the soundtrack and the store (and its bar) is open until 6 p.m.
Check out the list of tempting records here and remember: the early bird gets the worm, so bring your sleeping bag and get in line if you see something you can’t live without. You probably will.Link to the event
